I think your laptop is ok, maybe the slowness in loading is not a result of the spilt varnish remover but the result of too many programs at startup. Go to cmd prompt type msconfig then click the startup tab to disable some unnessicary start up programs. Either that or you might have only damaged one of the ram sticks. Those can be easily replaced reletivley cheap
