How many days does a Landlord have to return a "holding deposit"?

Depends on what the "written agreement"specifies.Unless it specifically states that you may cancel your intent to occupy property and receive your holding deposit returned in full within the 72 hr.period,you're probaly gonna have to wait.If you signed a lease to occupy,and you're breaking the lease they don't have to return any of the money and could sue for rental monies for the period of the lease.
