I apologise if this question offends you, but in the case of Catholics vs Protestants?

Churches, in Muslim world are not attacked by Muslim people, because they respect Christians and any other non believer, but Muslim mosques are being attacked every now and then, this leaves no room for intelectual discussion, people only argue and they dont want to constructively discuss matters. Ignorance is never a bliss!
