How do I disable a factory alarm on a 92 Honda Accord?

I have this car w/an unknown fact alarm, remote has 4 ons w/roman numerals on each on. I recently put on a new alternator and HP balancer and now it will not start. We think it's the alarm. HELP ME!! I am so frustrated. Please help.
