How does time plus matter plus chance produce logic and rationale?
How is it that science which is based on physics, chemistry, biology, and mathematics, which are all based on logic, rational thought, and repeatable experiments proposed by a thinking and purposeful mind, come to be evolved from mere atoms such as Carbon, Hidrogen, and Nitrogen, mixed with time and random chance? Since chance is random and chaotic by definition, would it evolve a life that is so uniform and symmetrically designed, or a thought process that is so logical and purposeful? If life truly evolved from chaos, would it not be more logical for everything in our world to be more illogical and none-repeatable? Would it not be more logical for everything in our universe to have no similarities since each item and event would be singularly based upon chaotic random chance? In other words, would such a chaotic world produce the symmetry of the honeycomb or the beauty of a Pea's tail? Should science as we know it even exist since science is based on logic and repeatable experiments in order to prove whether a scientific theory is correct? In a world of chaos and chance what would be the need for purpose to exist? Yet each of us can't help but wonder when we are alone, if our life has a purpose and what our purpose might be. Put another way, why would mere oxygen, hydrogen, and calcium care about meaning for existence? And what about our moral law? Why does every person have a built in knowledge of a moral law. Is there a moral law giver who might have put it in us? If not, why does every individual have the same sense of moral right and wrong? Every person feels it is unfair for another person to simply walk up to a child they've never met and slap that child for no reason at all. Why does this seem wrong to us? And how and when did atoms such as carbon, hydrogen, and oxygen, turn from physical entities to phylosophycal thought with judgemental capabilities for right and wrong? Can anyone explain, and if so is that explanation a random explanation that only makes sense to you, or is it based upon a rational and logical thought process? By the fact that you are even answering this question you are verifying the existence of information through the use of letters and words, which are itself recognizable and repeatable information not based on random chance but on knowdledge stemming from a logical and rational mind with a purpose to answer this question. The fact that you are on this site on this computer is not chaotic or you would not be able to understand what you are reading. Did the atoms make it so or did a logical and purposeful thinking mind make it so? Can anyone please tell me?
