Converting a holden commodore vy v8 manual ute to a v6?

Sell your V8 which is an LS1 5.7 which is worth at least 3k -5k to someone else. Then if your talking about getting an engine swap into it. Could cost you upto 8k including the engine but with the 5k you get for the V8 it is only 3k. Alot of work small workshops still charge around 80$ an hour for labour. Dealerships charge 160$ an hour but won't talk on jobs like that anyway. Best to find or buy a couple of street utes or street commodores and find a specialist that does engine swaps.
